Data & Application
Security Services
Privacy and security of our customers' data is our number one priority.
That is why Clearview TSS incorporates the same mission-critical
privacy and security
protections as those employed in online banking -a level of security far beyond
what the majority of small to midsize agencies can afford to implement on their
own. By offering these services as a part of our web-based application, you can
focus on and invest in your business – not IT resources and an extensive
security measures for your network. Privacy
Data stored within Clearview TSS is the sole property of Clearview
TSS customers and is not accessible by anyone other than authorized
users. Customers define
and control their own passwords within a secure infrastructure. Moreover, once
a user has been authorized to access Clearview TSS, more than 15 levels of
discrete, user-defined permissions determine which functions
and data are available to
specified users.
Data Security
Clearview TSS stores its customers' data exclusively on Microsoft
SQL 2000 database servers, the world's leading mission-critical
database. Microsoft
SQL 2000 includes
the industry's most advanced security and data integrity protections. Clearview
TSS also employs Cisco secure firewalls with advanced encryption in order
to prevent unauthorized access to the Clearview TSS application
and data.
Network
Security
Clearview TSS strictly safeguards customer data and transactions
while they are in transit. Clearview TSS employs 128-bit RSA secured-socket
layer (SSL)
data
encryption-the same level of encryption used in online banking. Such 128-bit
SSL encryption has never been broken, and would require a trillion years
to crack using current and foreseeable technology, according to RSA Laboratories.
Physical
Security
Clearview TSS application and data servers are co-located and hosted
with The Planet. The Planet provides the physical environment necessary
to keep
data
secure 24 hours a day through a full suite of intelligence-grade physical
security measures,
including 24x7 secured access, video camera surveillance, motion sensors,
security breach alarms, and state-of-the-art smoke detection and fire
suppression systems.
Data Integrity
Microsoft database servers "mirror," or replicate, data so
that two copies of all customer data exist at any given time, protecting
the data from
accidental loss, corruption, or destruction. Clearview TSS automatically
backs up all customer data every night, with back-ups stored on non-degradable
media
in a fireproof location.
Availability
Clearview TSS has been designed from the start as a mission-critical,
high-availability system, thereby ensuring nearly 100 percent up
time. Although no computing
system can guarantee zero service interruptions, Clearview TSS has
been engineered to
deliver maximum availability. Clearview TSS runs over redundant servers
and redundant T1 connections to the Internet backbone. The Planet's
data center
that houses
Clearview TSS servers is equipped with a diesel generator back-up
that can keep the entire facility online for up to 72 hours in
the event
of a power
outage.
Digital
Certificate
Clearview TSS's SSL-based network security is supplemented by a VeriSign
Server ID, also known as a "digital certificate." The certificate verifies
that all data claimed to have originated from a customer did, in fact, originate
from them, and that it has not been tampered with along the way. Based on 128-bit
encryption, a VeriSign digital certificate is the industry standard and can be
neither forged nor decoded with current or foreseeable technology.
